Product Description

Description This was originally a twelve part piece written for the Knuston Hall Saxophone course. It was later adapted into an Octet for the newly formed Northwest Saxophone Choir. It was inspired by the frustration of being a conductor and hearing too much chatter in rehearsal time. In this piece the volume of chatter quickly grows but is quelled after an outburst from the conductor. There are then whisperings led by the first baritone sax who has a quiet but lively tale to tell and the rest of the band begin to join in with various fragments. This leads to a noisy fugal section and full scale scandal swapping. The piece ends with the gossipers being shamed into silence.
