cateringinhoorn is a British supplier of trophies, medals, and awards. We have been in business since 2002, serving schools, sports leagues, and businesses across the UK from our base in North Yorkshire.
Our Workshops
We are not just an online retailer. cateringinhoorn is the national division of our family-run group, which includes two physical shops: The Trophy & Print Shop in Norton and Cameo Engraving in York.
Because we have our own workshops, we do all our engraving in-house. We don’t outsource your order to third parties. This means we can manage quality ourselves and handle large orders quickly. Whether you need one football trophy or 500 awards for a corporate event, we have the staff and the machinery to do the job.
We are a regular supplier for several large organisations, including the NHS, RAF, Network Rail, and Aviva.
While our workshops are based in North Yorkshire, we function as a national hub. We ship thousands of awards every week to clubs, schools, and organisations across the entire UK.
Our History
Alan Rudgard founded the business in 2002. It remains a family operation today, managed by Alan and his sister Jane. Jane has overseen our production and workshop operations since 2000.
We started with our shops in Norton and York. We set up cateringinhoorn to make our engraving expertise available to customers throughout the UK.

Standard delivery typically takes 5–10 working days, but if you have a tight deadline, we can often provide a “Rush Service” for next-day dispatch. Every award is quality-checked at our workshop before being securely packaged for courier delivery.
- Automatic Quantity Discounts: We understand the budget pressures on schools and local clubs. Our website automatically applies tiered discounts to larger orders, so you don’t need to wait for a quote or set up a trade account to see your savings. The more you order, the lower the price becomes.
- Specialist Glass Engraving: For our Cachets, we use traditional sandblasting rather than standard laser printing. This process creates a deep, permanent frosted finish that won’t fade or peel over time. It’s a superior technique that ensures a prestigious look for Medicine.
- Free Click & Collect: If you are nearby, you can choose to collect your order for free from either our Norton or York branches. Simply select the “Click & Collect” option at checkout, and we’ll let you know as soon as your items are ready.
